Great ways to recycle your old plastic dish tub by turning it into a nest box. Easy to clean too. You could make your own chicken nesting boxes using an old chair for a frame or make some out of hardy board for the frame and plastic dish tubs for the nest box as demonstrated in the video below. Look around and use your imagination, the possibilities are endless. Although if you do decide to make the one's in the video below, we recommend that you use plywood as particle board (hardy board won't last very long as they tend to swell if moisture levels are high and fall apart), but if that is what you have you can use a non toxic varnish, paint, or water proofer the wood with a non toxic coating to prevent chicken mites and lice from infesting the wood.
