Yes, pet chicken strollers have become a thing in the past few years. A couple of the main reasons people say they use a pet stroller to take their pet chicken for a walk is because the birds love the fresh air and the feeling of flying while staying protected from loose dogs or other predators such as a hawk who will come right down in front of the chicken owner and snatch the bird if they see an opportunity. Other pet chicken owners say they have tried pet chicken harness and leash and could not get their bird to cooperate and again many have voiced their fear of stray dogs, wandering cats, and if living in an area where alligators, bears, or large wild cats roam freely, it might not be a good idea to have a potential meal on a leash dragging behind you.

Chickens are getting spoiled rotten. People want to bring their pets everywhere they go and for urban pet chicken keepers, this is one way you can take your pet chicken out on the town to show him or her off. People who are raising pet chickens in apartments and inside their homes who live in the city, can't just take their chickens outside. Chicken feces are not allowed to touch the ground so many pet chicken owners are carting their little cuties around in pet strollers. Notice the pet stroller in the photo with the flag? While this appears to be the ideal chicken stroller because it would be quite easy to build and the added convenience of putting a nesting pad in the bottom makes it easy to clean..however, some complain that the straw at the bottom of the stroller can fall out as well as the chickens feces, leaving a nasty little trail behind your stroller. Nastiness is not the main issue however, for example, let's say your chicken has been sick and been staying indoors and you want to take him or her outside for a walk. While outside your sick little chicken leaves a trail of pooh behind, which if your chicken has a serious illness like fowl pox or avian flu, you could inadvertently be spreading it to any bird that comes in contact with it. As a result, you may be better off using a pet stroller which has a screen your bird can see out of and just put a puppy pad on the seat for easy cleanup or a box with a nesting pad.

This chicken stroller is made from the frame of an ordinary umbrella stroller and what appears to be an old magazine rack covered in chicken wire. What an awesome idea!
