SafeGuard® AquaSol-Fenbendazole oral suspension
Used For: The treatment and control of adult Ascaridia galli in broiler chickens and replacement chickens and for the treatment and control of adult A. galli and Heterakis gallinarum in breeding chickens and laying hens.
This supplement has new updates and provides for the following:
1. The addition of “and laying hens” to the indication for treatment and control of adult A. galli and H. gallinarum; 2. The removal of the limitation of “intended to become breeding chickens” from “replacement chickens” in the treatment and control portion of the A. galli only part of the indication;
3. The removal of the limitation, “Not for use in laying hens and replacement chickens intended to become laying hens” in the indication.

Conclusion: The data submitted in support of this NADA satisfy the requirements of section 512 of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act and 21 CFR part 514. The data demonstrate that SafeGuard® AquaSol, when used according to the label, is safe and effective for the treatment and control of adult Ascaridia galli in broiler chickens and replacement chickens and for the treatment and control of adult A. galli and Heterakis gallinarum in breeding chickens and laying hens. Additionally, data demonstrate that residues in food products derived from species treated with SafeGuard® AquaSol will not represent a public health concern when the product is used according to the label.

Chlortetracycline: For treatment of bacterial enteritis caused by Escherichia coli and bacterial pneumonia caused by Pasteurella multocida organisms susceptible to chlortetracycline.
Note: Not for chickens, however, I found this to be of value and interest because many people who raise chickens also raise cattle.
For Species: Cattle (calves, beef, and non-lactating dairy)
Feed Rate: "Feed at a rate of 1 g chlortetracycline per 100 lb body weight/day and 22.7 mg decoquinate per 100 lb of body weight/day for not more than 5 days. When it is fully consumed, resume feeding 22.7 mg decoquinate per 100 lb of body weight/day for a total of 28 days to prevent coccidiosis"
