This is the New improved model of the  BIH Battery Operated Hen House Door featured by The Hen House Collection-Bird in Hand Structures Pet Auto Door was received, installed, and reviewed by Chicken Heaven On Earth. At the time this video was made the chicken door had been installed for six months and is still in use with no problems a year later. We change the batteries when the time changes. Our chickens are much safer as predators cannot get the door open. Our girls love it. (see video below).We highly recommend this hen house door, it is the best one we have tried so far!

Installation:
This product was easy to install. Time for installation will depend on your hen house or coop structure.

Our chickens are safer, predators cannot open the door. The door runs on a timer which makes it very convenient if you have to be somewhere in the morning or at night. We set the timer for 30 minutes after day break and 15 minutes before dusk. A few hens got locked out the first few times and again when the time changed and we found  them standing right by the door. It was easy to get them in even then because all we had to do was push the "OPEN" button to manually open the door and the girls ran right in. Now  even the girls who lag behind come running when they hear the door motor start up. It is very quiet and we highly recommend this chicken coop door for anyone who wants to raise chickens backyard and commercial.
