How to Make A Dry Ice Air Conditioner For Your Chicken Coop
This video shows how to make a do it yourself dry ice air conditioner from a five gallon bucket, a fan, some pvc pipe and duct tape, which would easily cool off most small chicken coops, sheds, or even a room in your house.
One adjustment I would make to this project is to use a solar powered or wind powered fan rather than an electric fan because many chicken coops are off grid or do not have electricity running to them and using extension cords is not a safe long term option. If you do use extension cords to power things in your coop make sure they are heavy duty construction cords or RV cords with adapters for a regular plug outlet. I would also wrap the dry ice in newspaper to make it last longer and get better temperature control. This DIY air conditioner could easily be used to cool a small room in your home, shed, or off grid tiny house.
