The first thing you should do once you decide to sell your chickens eggs is contact your city or county clerk to find out what, if any possible permits or requirements they may require regarding selling eggs from backyard chickens or to sell eggs commercially. It is important that you collect, clean, grade, and handle your chicken eggs properly from the time the egg is laid until the time your customers receive them to ensure that your customers get the highest quality eggs. Selling mishandled eggs could result in your customers getting ill which would lose you customers, destroy your new business reputation, and could even end up in a lawsuit so it is so very important to keep your eggs clean and fresh at all times until the point of sale. Here is how you do it.
