Most of us think that the meat we buy in the store is safe to eat. Did you know 67% of the chicken you purchase from the local grocer or butcher is contaminated with some level of pathogens and salmonella? Susan Koeppen reports that almost all chicken used for food sold to consumer's has some level of pathogens and salmonella contamination (Only 33% does not) before it even reaches the store. That is a frightening discovery to say the least. Many of these pathogens are removed during the cooking process. Chicken that is not handled properly can make you sick.
